Mystic Valley Charter School 2009-10 Athletic Program
The goal of the Athletic Program is to conduct a wholesome and worthwhile activity which is consistent with, and contributes to, the mission of Mystic Valley Regional Charter School.
The challenge associated with competitive athletics creates learning experiences that enable students to grow and mature. Participation in Athletics at Mystic Valley is a PRIVILEGE, which carries the expectation that a student will behave in a responsible manner and follow established rules and regulations set by the administration and coaches.
In 2009-10, Mystic Valley will field teams in numerous sports. The athletic program will feature varsity, sub-varsity, and middle school teams.
Fall Sports include football, girl’s soccer, boys and girls cross country, boys and girls crew, volleyball, cheerleading, and jv boys soccer.
Winter Sports are basketball, swimming, and ice hockey.
Spring Sports include baseball, softball, track and field, boys and girls crew, and boy’s lacrosse.
Physical examinations expire one calendar year from inception must encompass the entire sports season in which the candidate wishes to participate. The sport season encompasses the first practice date and the date of the last scheduled state or regional event listed in the MIAA handbook. Completed physicals should be put in the nurses “mailbox” in the MAIN OFFICE.
